The Mesivta of Roslyn is an affiliate of the Rabbinical Seminary of America / Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Forest Hills, NY.

Since its inception in 1933, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim has been devoted to furthering the cause of Jewish education. Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim has successfully established Yeshivas and other educational centers in cities across the United States, currently educating more than 1200 students at the high school and post-secondary level.

Chofetz Chaim alumni occupy positions of importance in the professional and business world and in the world of Jewish communal activity. They have earned the respect of their communities and colleagues because of their passionate approach to Judaism, their personal and professional integrity and their strong involvement in the Jewish community at large.

The founders of Mesivta of Roslyn, Rabbi Tzvi Kramer and Rabbi Dovid Kramer, have received their Semicha ordination from Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim. Rabbi Tzvi Kramer has been the Rabbi of the North Hills Synagogue / Congregation Zichron Eliezer for the past eight years. He has also founded Yeshiva Ateres Yitzchok, the Bais Medrash program of Mesivta of Roslyn. Rabbi Dovid Kramer has been an Executive Director for nine years, the last four with Yeshiva Tiferes Torah in Staten Island.

Rabbi Leibel Rockove, our founding Menahel, has over two decades of experience in the field of Jewish education on a formal and informal basis. Rabbi Rockove, who also received his Semicha from Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, taught at Shevach High School where he was cherished not only for his ability to make Limudei Kodesh relevant to his students, but also as someone to whom students and faculty turned to seeking advice on personal and communal issues. His years at Shevach highlighted a talent for creative teaching and programming where his original curriculum and outstanding extra-curricular programs won him recognition as winner of the Gruss Award for Outstanding Teaching. Rabbi Rockove has served as the Rabbi of the Elmhurst Jewish Center and is vice-president of the Vaad Harabonim of Queens.
